Job Description: 1.Members of the Order Services team will submit routing requests to the Routing Coordinators in sufficient time to meet the customers routing guidelines. To route an order the order must be ?dimmed? i.e. total cartons, weight and cube must be determined based on the order quantity. 2.Once routed the order will have an outbound transfer prepared to pull stock from inventory and have it brought forward to the packing area where it will be packed. 3.If there is insufficient inventory, the Order Services Coordinator must research the shorts to determine if any additional inventory is due in from overseas to satisfy the order before the cancel date. They will also check the order against the advance to verify styles, quantities. 4.They must also have Inventory Control research the shorts to locate the missing stock and/or determine why we are short. 5.If need be they will contact the Product Manager if the product received does not match the advance. 6.The Order Services Coordinator will get shipping labels from the Routing Coordinators and provide the packing supervisors with labels, packing slips and any special instructions that must be followed to complete the order for shipment. 7.If the shipping windows can?t be met they must make sure an OCN is requested to extend the ship date. 8.They will determine the expected cartons, weight and cube of the shipment. They will submit this information to the Routing Coordinators. 9.The Routing Coordinators will review the customer?s routing guide to determine the steps that must be followed to meet their routing guidelines. 10.They will access the transportation management web site and follow the protocol to enter the required data to arrange for pick up. 11.Once they have a confirmed pick up date and time, they will enter the division, customer name, PO#, carrier and other data into the daily shipping schedule. 12.Concurrently the Order Services team has determined how the order will be packed and provided this information to the Routing Coordinator who will use this to create shipping labels. 13.Shipping labels, tracking sheet and copies of the packing slips are given to the Order Services team. The Order Services team will include any special packing instructions along with the labels and give them to the Packing Supervisors. 14.Routing Coordinator will create shipping B/L upon completion of the orders. 15.Once the shipment has been picked up by the carrier, the Shipping Department will give signed copies of the bills of lading to the Routing Coordinators. The Routing Coordinators will then approve the orders in Multiview which in turn will allow the ASN?s to be transmitted to our customers.
