Large International logistics company is seeking an experienced import/export administrator who has strong knowledge as well as hands on operational experience. Candidate must be well versed in Regulatory matters. Will ensure Compliance with U.S. Import and Export Regulations with regard to proper classification, valuation, origin rules, free trade agreements, documentation and record keeping while attending to customers' delivery deadlines. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Answer day to day operational inquiries and ensure all emails are responded to or acknowledged in timely manner. Respond to inquiries on shipment status- track and trace cargo Receive Pre-alerts and Review Import Documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, declarations, certificates, purchase orders, etc. for completeness and accuracy. Log all transportation moves into the Transportation Log and set up transportation file. Communicate with foreign and domestic vendors, sales, global sourcing, accounting. Communicate with steamship lines, freight forwarders, terminals, warehouses, etc to verify and confirm cargo ETA and availability. Minimum of 5 years required!
